Your stats show the Googlebot is visiting your site. That is a good first step to getting listed and ranked. A client asked us the other day if it makes a difference to Google if you have the www in the web address or can leave it out.
The webmaster tool provides this answer:
Google does some processing of data. For example, we may:
- Strip out certain parameters such as sessionID.
- Add the default protocol if no protocol is specified:
www.example.com/xyz.html
is treated the same as
http://example.com/xyz.html.
- Add a trailing slash where appropriate:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
is treated the same as
http://www.google.com/webmsters/tools/
As a result, links may be consolidated, and the number of links displayed may be reduced.
The intelligence built in to search engine crawlers is fantastic and impressive to say the least. Each search engine that is crawling and indexing your site will likely follow the Google example to some extent.
The important thing to get correct is being consistent. Promoting your site and getting backlinks is important. If you are not putting any time or money
into your sites it should be no surprise that few leads result. If you are going to use www in promotional materials etc.. then always use it in print,
online, in videos and on your apparel.

We talk about having business intelligence and gathering data as the all important seed for business success. Information intelligence and knowing your company strengths and opportunities is necessary for sure but take a moment to look at your internal business processes.
We witnessed a humble process that happens in every business, cleaning the floors. Alsmost no process is to small to improve. In casual observation at a standard facility it was noticed that a particular cleaning person would get a broom and sweep everything into piles. That is fine and we all would do the same thing, grouping the dust and junk to a pile and pick it up. This is where the process seemed to break. The custodian never brought a dust pan.
How did this affect the process? What where the ramifications? The custodian would have to go back and get the dust pan leaving the piles along the corridors and hallways. People had to go around the piles, they looked unsightly and of course the work was only half done. The person had to travel to each area twice instead of once. Sure they where busy but the hallway had the appearance of not being clean on a regular basis.
The simple act of bringing the dustpan resulted in areas being cleaned and the piles where not left for people to go around. The impression was a new cleaning company must have started. The custodian got done quicker by saving on the extra trips to the cleaning closet.
Fast forward to a year and all those minutes add up to a cleaner place with less effort because a simple change was identified and implemented.
What business process can you improve today?

The myth continues that you can get cheap unlimited reseller web hosting and actually succeed, survive and thrive. Electricity costs money folks and that glitzy page touting unlimited everything for 7.95 just is not going to happen. You are better off finding a small hosting company with live phone support and sleep well at night. There has been a 20% drop in the number of ISP’s still in business. Countless innocent victims have suddenly found the websites they worked so hard to promote are offline and that cheap host with such a good deal just went belly up and you went belly down. Unless you have a backup of your database and files along with your registration in order your side could be down for awhile.
If this has happened to you and your business is important and your email needs to be dependable then generally steer clear of the unlimited hosting ad sites out there. We considered putting recommendations here but did not want to seem biased. There are a lot of good regional ISP’s that deliver good service. If they have been around 15 years it is a pretty good bet they are doing something right.

Nice, Google released a new feature called Google Instant. While we thought something was wrong with our browser it was really the dawn of a new way to search. Ajax programmers gave us super fast magical features for our websites and Google uses a lot of Ajax in it’s products.
Google Instant requires no training or plugin, just go to www.google.com and start searching for something like dfw marketing and result choices instantly come up. This for us has the initial effect of seeming like to much blinking and forget about your adwords on the side. Your eyes won’t keep up as the body keeps changing while you type.
So the cool thing is to use backspace. This feature lets you glance results and might make it easier to get the relevant information you were looking for. Use backspace on the fly and see the results change in the body not just the search drop down which was cool when that first started appearing also. This will affect SEO and adwords although Google has stated that no changes to the search result process was made.
This will change how we interactively search.

We were told in business school to have an elevator pitch then when we got out of school the real world presentations were 1-2 hour slide shows that half bored people as everyone tried to get their slide deck stuffed full.
The velocity base sales approach necessarily dictates that your presentations need to be on point so answer the following questions and see just how much you do not need as you reformulate your presentation.
1. Why do this business
2. What do you want from this business?
3. What are you willing to give up to make the business?
4. How many people do you contact per day?
5. How many customers do you need to promote to the next level?
6. How many people can you sponsor?
7.What works best for you?
- Having meetings
- Attending group meetings
- 1 on 1
- Webinars
8. What is your goal to promote to the next level?
Make your Tuesday list on Monday, build in 34d party credibility to your sales process and show the plan.
